‘Spectrum' 16th June - 20th August 2017
Ferrers Gallery, Staunton Harold, Leicestershire.
A love of colour is the focus of Ferrers Gallery's summer exhibition this year. All the colours of the rainbow will be represented as the three floors of the Ferrers Gallery explode with hues and tones.
From vivid vessels and dramatically colourful jewellery to shimmering shapes in glass and textiles.
With artists and makers from around the British Isles Ferrers Gallery focuses on showcasing an array of British made Craftsmanship representing a varied number of mediums.
Taking part in the exhibition will be Wales based maker Susan Bain whose work captures everyday moments in wire; from children splashing in puddles to taking the dog for a walk.
Leicester based Dee Barnes will be showcasing large and lovely jewellery made from her original abstract paintings and crystal rocks, and jeweller Katy Luxton will be packing a punch with her powerful primary coloured jewellery.
Helen Evans of Planet Ceramics will be showcasing a full spectrum of colours with her ceramic pots as too will Lucy Burley with her ceramic bottles and bud vases.
"The upper exhibition floors of the Ferrers Gallery are going to be a riot of colours this summer as we celebrate the rainbow, with British craftsmanship spanning many mediums from paintings and prints to jewellery, glass, ceramics and textiles."
Rachael Chambers Ferrers Gallery.
The Exhibition runs from 16th June - 20th August 2017.
