A listed building at Gainsborough's award winning Marshall's Yard development is the backdrop to a brand new business venture aimed at showcasing local arts and crafts.
The 5,000 sq ft unit at The Engine House will be home to more than 50 new budding businesses later this year.
The management team at Marshall's Yard have created a new MY Craft Centre for crafters and artists to display and sell their work, creating another great destination for visitors to Marshall's Yard.
Contributors will be chosen on the quality of their work to join the exciting new project. The standards need to be kept high to ensure the facility is an enjoyable addition to the rest of the centre and its impressive retail line up.
Marshall's Yard's Assistant Centre Manager, Alison Hall, said: "We have already heard from more than 40 artists and crafters who are really keen to display their goods within MY Crafts and we're now looking to fill the remaining spaces that are still available.
"So far we have a range of artwork, photography, sculptures, handbags, hats, homeware, jewellery, furniture, ceramics, cards and toiletries all handcrafted and of an excellent, high standard.
"Everyone we've spoken to so far is really excited about the new venture which we are looking to launch in late summer so we'd like to hear from other people who might be interested in this exciting opportunity."
MY Crafts will be staffed and marketed by the centre leaving the artists and crafters free to continue making more items.
Costs are as little as £20 a week to have a presence at MY Crafts covering all business rates, rent, marketing, utilities and staffing costs.
