Business skills training in partnership with Cockpit Arts
Saturday 8th September 2012, 10am – 5.15pm
Sheffield Millennium Gallery
A one day workshop aimed anyone working in craft who wants to learn and develop marketing skills. The training will be delivered via presentations from industry experts such as Andy Evans from Pure PR, case studies and practical sessions, alongside time to network with speakers and fellow guests. All attendees will come away with new skills and ideas to help them market their craft and ultimately increase sales.
After a morning of presentations, followed by a light lunch (included) the afternoon will comprise of three Top Tips training sessions led by qualified business coaches from Cockpit Arts, an award-winning ‘creative business incubator’ crafts organisation. Additionally their ‘Creative Business Toolkit’ will be made available free of charge to all workshop attendees. Attendees can choose to go to three of the sessions:
- How to sell online through other websites
- How to write a press release
- How to develop a brand (and why!)
- How to produce an e-newsletter
- How to develop social networks
- How to find great customers with simple market research
FEE: £35 per person (including refreshments)
