Design Factory designer/maker member Alison Daykin from Alison Yule Textiles was selected to take part in SYNAPSE, a visual arts festival profiling the work of emerging artists from the 3 cities of Derby, Leicester and Nottingham, running until the end of June 2010.

Just as a SYNAPSE acts an interface between a nerve and a cell to create activity, the SYNAPSE festival aims to create exciting cultural activity in the region by working with creative and inspiring artists.

The theme for SYNAPSE is Genesis and runs until the end of June 2010 at Deda, Derby University, BBC Big Screen, Derby, New Arts Exchange, Nottingham and Royal Derby hospital.

Alison's work is exhibited in Royal Derby Hospital on Floor 3.
