Design Factory associate member Laura Mabbutt is holding 2 felt making courses at the Hub, National Centre for Craft & Design in Sleaford, Lincolnshire.

Felt Boots & Slippers on Sunday 31st January 2010, 10am - 4pm

The workshop will focus on using seamless, resist feltmaking techniques to create a unique pair of wool felted boots moulded around the shape of your feet!

The boots can either be used as a cosy pair of slippers or take them home and glue a sole on for your very own unique outdoor boots.

Cost: £25, all materials and equipment provided.

Felt Beads and Jewellery on Saturday 27th March 2010, 10am - 4pm

Students will learn various hand rolling methods of creating felt beads, flowers and ropes that can then be turned into unique items of jewellery, either on their own on by using metal jewellery findings.
