Design Factory designer/maker Jo Cope has been selected to appear on a BBC One commission series to search out Britain’s brightest entrepreneurial talent.
Twofour is producing a new BBC One 4-part series "New Brands", which gives budding entrepreneurs the chance to take a product they have created to new heights.
After a nationwide hunt for participants for the show, Jo Cope has made it through to the final 12 and and will be featured in the first programme when it is aired.
Britain’s most successful female entrepreneur, Jo Malone is looking for people who have an original product or range which they believe has the potential to make the leap from kitchen table to high street. Those chosen will benefit from Jo''s expertise, experience and guidance.
Each of the 4 episodes will focus on a different category, for example, home and garden, food and drink, children and accessories. Once the chosen few have been selected they will then be guided through the worlds of branding, public relations and business preparing them for the pitch of their life....a major retailer.
Will they be able to convince them to take a chance on a new product during this period of commercial uncertainty?
Jo Cope is also featured in an international design book by SanSerif called 'Articulado'.
Jo was invited to be a contributer in the latest book by SanSerif offering her unique perspective on why ‘fashion can be product design’.
Articulado is a not-for-profit publication featuring opinions and reflections from leading names in international design, such as Erwan Bouroullec, Ana Yago, Karim Rashid, Milton Glaser and other experts, such as Alice Rawsthorn, Covadonga Pendones on the relationship between design, the environment and the economy.
Conceived to transmit values like sustainable growth, recycling and low impact production processes, the book is printed in one colour on ecological paper without varnishes or special treatments. It is a limited edition, designed by Ana Yago, with a minimal issue of 2,000 copies translated into Spanish, Valenciano and English.
The book is available to buy on line at: http://tienda.adcv.com/ or prensa@adcv.com
