Associate member Janina Spencer from NinaCarolyn Jewellery joined Design Factory in June 2009. Nina recently returned to Derbyshire following 5 years living in Seattle, USA where she studied jewellery and silversmithing. 

Having been out of both the country and the field for so long, Nina approached a local gallery to find out what support or help was available for jewellery makers. 

"My visit to Created Gallery in Chesterfield was eye opening. They had recently joined Design Factory as a friend member and advised me to go straight to the team. 

Design Factory was a fabulous find for me! It's a 'one stop shop' covering not only regional, but national and international events and news. I have since applied for several exhibitions and sourced events and opportunities which I would otherwise not have known about. 

As an associate member, a member of the team visited my home/studio and worked with me to develop my business and products. It was brilliant to receive objective advice and to set future goals to aspire to.

Design Factory is the first place I go if I am looking for information and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending anyone to become a member."
