Designer/maker member Katie Almond graduated in 2009 with a degree in Design Crafts from De Montfort University, Leicester. 2009 has proved to be a busy year for Katie with exhibitions at New Designers, BCB Fresh Ceramic and The Knit and Stitch Show. 
 
And it hasn't stopped ... in August 09, Katie's work was selected to Design Factory, the regions leading creative agency that champions the very best design talent produced in the East Midlands.

As a recent graduate starting up a new creative business, we recently caught up with Katie to find out how her first three months with Design Factory has helped her to make the move from university life to business life...
 
"My experience with Design Factory has been really positive. The website has helped me to easily source support and exhibitions and it's been amazing to have this resource to hand whenever I have a question or concern.
