Design Factory designer/maker member Katrin Moye Ceramics has been crowned Crafts Business of the Year in the Nottingham Creative Business Awards 2009, making this the 3rd year running that a Design Factory member has won this category.

In 2007, the Crafts award went to designer/maker member Debbie Bryan and in 2008 it went to designer/maker member Laura McCafferty.

2009's winner Katrin Moye designs and makes decorative domestic ceramics, which are mainly wheel thrown and are hand decorated with coloured slips and underglazes.

Nottingham Creative Business Awards 2009 was held last week and has become the showcase event to put companies into the spotlight, attracting hundreds of people along to the event.

Katrin was thrilled to have been selected and said "I'm so pleased to have won the NCBA Crafts Award - I think that Nottingham is getting better and better for crafts in general and I'm hoping to put Carrington on the map as the place to go for ceramics in the city!'
