Craftfinder is a new venture connecting people with makers and places in the UK where they can enjoy contemporary craft. Launched in March, it now has over 60 registered makers and more than 180 places where people can enjoy contemporary craft.  Here's some more information about the venture.

Craftfinder is now opening its doors to makers who would like to be considered for a profile. Profiles are free until at least May 2013, Craftfinder isn't a selling site and all makers are selected.

www.craftfinder.org.uk demonstrates the kind of work they promote, and they've also produced some guidelines to give a sense of makers they are looking for. If you think you would fit with them please apply - they definitely want to hear from you.

If you'd like to be considered, please email Craftfinder at hello@craftfinder.org.uk with the following information:

• Your contact details
• Your cv
• Venues and events where your work has been on show or for sale, or will be in the next few months
• About 4 - 5 images in a jpg, png or bmp format. Or you can send a link to a website. Please only show images which do justice to your work. If you are invited to be part of Craftfinder you will need to provide images which meet our photo guidelines.

Craftfinder aims to email you with a decision within 10 working days. If your application is not accepted this time then later applications are welcome as your work progresses.
