New Art Exchange is a ground breaking, award winning and internationally recognised arts space in the heart of inner city Nottingham. The venue is dedicated to promoting excellence in contemporary culturally diverse visual arts through exhibitions, events and education initiatives. New Art Exchange also has a strong commitment to developing engaging and accessible programmes inspired by the venues immediate community.
New Art Exchange is seeking to appoint a Learning & Community Engagement Coordinator to develop NAE's learning and community strategy through an inspiring and imaginative programme which engages new and hard to reach audiences. The post has a specific emphasis on establishing, managing and delivering a schools learning programme (key stages 1-4 plus FE), and creating community engagement opportunities.
You will be a highly motivated, passionate and committed professional, with at least three years experience of working with school and community groups in an arts capacity.
In addition, applicants should have knowledge of the national curriculum and contemporary visual arts. Applicants should also have an understanding of, or the desire to develop an understanding of, cultural diversity and the nuances of public venues with a focus on both arts/culture and community.
