The most creative, inspiring & fun event about selling for designers & crafts people

On 7th July from 10am - 4pm at the Hub in King Cross, the Design Trust launches its flagship event on selling; "Make it pay".  This is a one-day event that has been specifically produced to support designers and crafts people to develop their knowledge and skills on selling.

Make it pay is for designers and crafts people who want to sell, learn, share and do!  More than 25 contributors will be running various sessions throughout the day.  All attendants can pick and mix sessions to create a programme that is best for their business. Sessions range from practical training workshops on negotiating and pricing, expert panels on online selling and promotion, presentation competitions, discussions on issues such as 'selling out',  interactive games to develop pitching skills, talks with online retailers and agents and  1-2-1 reviews and advice on marketing materials and websites.

Patricia van den Akker, Director of The Design Trust says, 'We really want to show creatives all the different aspects around selling and marketing, and how much fun it can be to talk to, work and build a relationship with clients.  With so many contributors and different ways to learn, we want everybody to leave the Hub excited and motivated to sell better, full of inspiration and with lots of business cards of new friends.'

Make it pay is a specialist event for designers and crafts people. It is for start-ups as well as people who have been trading for a while and want new ideas to improve their sales. The event is specifically for sole traders, freelancers and small business owners in graphic design, product design and crafts. Illustrators, print makers, web designers, interior designers, fashion designers and photographers will find this event useful too.

Make it pay is a vibrant, thought-provoking and interactive day where attendees will learn and put into action more effective ways of selling their work. This is not a boring seminar where delegates sit still and listen for hours on end. There are only 100 tickets available in total, so early booking is advised to avoid disappointment.
